(Rewrites headline, lede, adds details in second paragraph)
VIENNA, Dec 4 (PRIME) -- OPEC has not made a decision to change its oil production quota from 30 million barrels per day at a Friday meeting, but decided to not decrease the actual oil production of 31.5 million barrels per day, Nigerian Petroleum Resources Minister Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, the meeting’s chairman, told reporters Friday.
“Now the real figure is 31.5 million (barrels per day), this is what we’ve decided to keep,” Kachikwu said.
Iranian Petroleum Minister Binjah Zangeneh told reporters that OPEC made no decision to change its oil production quota. “No decision was made,” he said.
Earlier on Friday, Bloomberg reported quoting a meeting participant that OPEC raised its oil production quota by 1.5 million barrels per day to 31.5 million barrels per day, excluding production of rejoining member Indonesia.
